question about starting a 1257

i'm wondering if my 1257 is starting correctly?.

it seems it turns over very slowly and quietly then all of a sudden it's running.

is this normal for a starter/generator tractor?.

this is my first type of setup.

yep.....

this is how mine starts, if it turns over for a long time before starting, you could look at some of the normal maintenance items such as point gap, ignition condition, carb settings/condition, fuel pump etc. but normally they are very quiet. thats whats so cool about them....

mine seems to turn over for maybe 2 or 3 seconds then it's running.

i just thought maybe something was wrong but i guess not .

ya it's very,very quiet starting compared to my c- series.

My 856 turns over very quietly also. After starting B-100's for over 18 years, it's a very pleasant sound in comparison.
