fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted July 3, 2011 i'm wondering if my 1257 is starting correctly?. it seems it turns over very slowly and quietly then all of a sudden it's running. is this normal for a starter/generator tractor?. this is my first type of setup. Martin 2,133 #2 Posted July 3, 2011 yep..... this is how mine starts, if it turns over for a long time before starting, you could look at some of the normal maintenance items such as point gap, ignition condition, carb settings/condition, fuel pump etc. but normally they are very quiet. thats whats so cool about them.... click for video.... rmaynard 16,344 #4 Posted July 3, 2011 My 856 turns over very quietly also. After starting B-100's for over 18 years, it's a very pleasant sound in comparison.
