neil 2,410 #1 Posted July 1, 2011 whilst trawling round the internet i came across this pic of an RJ 58/59 . The picture was taken in Oxford at a horticultural show I only know of two other Rjs in this country one of which was imported the other was bought off that auction site. So hopefully one day another few will pop up for sale i thought it was a great picture and also to see how good a new tractor would have looked back then. The younge lad looks deep in thought and maybe thinking that one day in the future i might get to own one of these tractors. I also found this picture love to see the old pics , they tell so many stories

farmer 1,078 #3 Posted July 1, 2011 Looks like he had been doing a spot of leaflet gathering, I remember going to shows annoying the sales staff when I was a nipper, come to think of it I probably still tick 'em off now. Nice pictures thanks Neil :woohoo:

MikesRJ 558 #5 Posted July 2, 2011 Neil, Some things I just noticed about the first picture. The recoil on the Kohler K91 is not the Schnake style, and the engine has a 4HP tag immediately above the engine's model/serial plate. This would indicate to me late production machine. Great photos, thanks for sharing.
VinsRJ 723 #6 Posted July 2, 2011 Neil super RJ pic!
neil 2,410 #7 Posted July 2, 2011 I would guess that this picture of RJ is of a brand new tractor on display at a local show nr Oxford, along with the other push tractors . If you look closely at under the hood ,it looks like possibly a price tag . i think its a great pic. would look great in enlarged size & in a frame .
fordsonmajortom 1 #8 Posted July 3, 2011 I wonder where the young lad is now and if he is still around. Behind it is an Auto Culto Autogardener, and behind that Howard and Clifford rotavators and to the right what looks to be a Mayfield. Michael.
neil 2,410 #9 Posted July 3, 2011 This younge lad is probably now in his late 50s or early 60s . I also wonder if the RJ is still alive .
