wallfish 18,191 #4 Posted June 28, 2011 :woohoo: A 400 would use two 1/4-20 bolts to hold the hood to the "ears" of the hoodstand (firewall)
brooks60burb 0 #5 Posted June 28, 2011 Wallfish thanks a lot!!! Im not sure i have these ears but i will double check. This had two holes drilled down through the hoodstand-firewall will nuts and washers on the 3/8 all thread. what to do if there are no ears!? :woohoo:
wallfish 18,191 #6 Posted June 28, 2011 Can you post some pics of your tractor? It would make things easier if we could see it. Here's a link to "Finding you way around Red Square". You should see a thread that explains how to post pics and lots of other useful stuff. The pic thing seems complicated but once you get it, it's fairly easy. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showforum=83 Here is a link to the 400s in the picture gallery here on RS. There should only be 2 bolts on the side that hold the hood to the stand and one down the bottom front that holds it to the frame. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=
Kelly 1,033 #7 Posted June 28, 2011 If you end up needing a firewall/steering support, I have one, from a 400 that was parted out.
