boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted June 27, 2011 The "will a tiller fit" question is tricky because there are a lot of "things" that go with a tiller that you don't think about. It will fit your tractor without doubt. The 520 it was on is a hydro lift and I don't know about your other tractor's lifts. The rock shaft, (lift assit), is a little different from a hydro to a manual lift. He may not have given you the rockshaft with the tiller. You'll also need the axle bracket on your tractor if he didn't sell you his off the 520. The simple fact remains, almost everything that fits a C-series Wheelhorse will fit a 300-400 and 500 series Wheelhorse or Toro/Wheelhorse. (A few exceptions like the C-195). You just need all the parts! Good Luck! BooVuc Mill Hall, PA
312Hydro 474 #3 Posted June 27, 2011 Hi RS,I am looking at a tiller for sale.It is on a 520hc right now.My question is will it fit my 416 or my 312,310?He has all the brackets and belt and the original owners manual. Thanks for your help and knowledge. The tiller itself will fit your tractor. Like BooVuc said, You will need the rear axle bracket(which is used for the snowplow too). You may or may not need the rockshaft. I've read about members just making a cable to go to the tiller. The drive belt may be too long sincnce it's from a 520, not sure until you hook it up. make sure to get the mid mount pullelys for the drive belt or you will need to buy or make that. Here are a few posts that I found helpful: This one shows the mid mount pulleys- Pulleys Build a tension pulley( The Unknown Cat): Mid mount pulley Build a rock shaft ( Lost Pup) :Rock shaft Lift cable routing with pics of pulleys:Lift cable Another belt tension build ( Raider ) :belt tensioner Another tiller post regarding an add on plate like the newer ones:Plate There are more, just use the search and enter "tiller or rototiller" If the price is good for you just buy it and try to get all the parts that go with it. Hope this helped you out, Rich
