PTO drive belt - NLA!!!

Any ideas on finding one for the rear PTO drive. # is 109829 or Toro no. P-3231 . My dealer says NLA, so now what? I tried finding an after market one and they are either too long or too short. A 1/2" by 146" is too short I've even tried putting smaller idlers to shorten things up but can't get enough belt.

Any floating around?

What about using a link belt? Going to be expensive but any 1/2" x 151-1/4" belt will be as that is what the 109829 belt is.

Service bulletin 335 states illustrations 18 and 19 in the manual show the belts going to the wrong side after the mid-idlers resulting in the pto running backwards. The correct illustration is included.

Gates Belts Part # Cross Over

Type in your Wheelhorse part # and it will tell you the Gates number.

If you know the actual length, and how wide, you can get it.

whith across the back of the belt

1/2" = A Series

5/8" = B Series

3/4" = C Series

the co. I work for is a GATES Dist and we special order belt for the oilfield all the time. I use them on my decks & mule drives

Although, the Kevlar trans. drive belts come from a different divs. of Gates.

On those, it is just as easy to check out Tractor Supply.

I did some serious digging and only came up with that one and a Toro #115-2649 - which is only 149.5" long X .5" wide ~ and a heck of a lot more money.

At search at Stens for 154295 brings up another JD # 158130 replaced by Stens 265-313 - 1/2"x150".

Thanks Guys fo the leads! My parts guy told me from the 144" I got the next jump up is 150" so that is what I'll try. Gotta work.

I want to get my rear mower on my C-195 soon.

Make sure you adjust the PTO exactly to specs, even then theres no guarentee that it'll hold.

I do know the tiller is to much for it to hold even if the PTO lining is new.

Mine had sat for some years before I hooked up tiller, belt was bent in the wrong places. Specs?

Yup either its in the manual or as a seperate sheet. I had a heck of time just getting the PTO to hold for the deck, thats until I read the directions.

IIRC, belt sizes are measured by the root dia of a standard size pulley, the root dia is the pulley dia at the inside of the belt so the belt will actually measure around the outside about 2'' longer than the label length
