IthacaJeff 151 #1 Posted June 24, 2011 WH'ers I'm getting ready to build a rock wall from the rocks on our property -- using rocks from excavation of the foundation and from the perimeter of the property where the past farmers had dumped them. Moving the really bigs ones several hundred feet, when I could not lift them, was a problem. First I had to pull some rocks out of a 4 ft. deep drainage ditch. Used the 416-8 in 1-low and a tow strap, and it slid the big dogs out without a problem. Surprised me as I thought traction would be an issue. Then I levered my old hand truck under the rock, tilted it down, and 'hung' the hand truck from my draw bar hitch with a big S-hook. (the S-hook just happened to be attached to the nylon strap, which is why you see it in the picture.) Worked fantastic. (The wall you see was just a mock up for my wife. Surprisingly, she likes the rustic look. So I'll take is down and dry-fit a better wall. Never really done this, may or may not use mortar. We'll see.)
