WH854 45 #4 Posted June 19, 2011 I have finally finished this tractor after about 5 years. I still have a 1983 C-125 to do. Fantastic job on the C-105!! I have one myself Did you put metal fenders on it? My tractor came with a plastic one, so I put a metal one on it. Chas
Horse'n Around 22 #5 Posted June 20, 2011 Wow she looks terrific ! Its better and more fun to let it take time and enjoy it than to rush and get flustered and stressed. It looks awesome, well worth the wait Id say John
farmer 1,078 #6 Posted June 20, 2011 Tony, A long time and a lot of effort, but what a result. Congratulations on a job well done. I have to admit, the Black hood series isn't my favourite 's made but that one really looks the biz....nice weights too. .
Tony S 2 #7 Posted June 20, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I tried to do bits of it while still using it, but in the end it was easier to strip it down and start from the frame and gearbox. It came with a metal fender. My C-125 must have had a plastic fender originally as the metal fender it has now is in a different colour and condition to the rest of the tractor. Anglo Traction 761 #10 Posted June 21, 2011 That is a marvelous job you've done Tony . I too am warming to the 80's Blackhoods, especially when they turn out like yours. 5 years ! , mine's looking that way as well at the moment. It takes as long as it takes. wheeledhorseman 579 #11 Posted June 21, 2011 :hide: Wonderful looking tractor, you must be really proud of your work. It's also great to know that I'm not the only one to use a restored to do the job it was intended to do. (I assume that as you started work on it whilst still using it then it is back to work now that it's finished.)
