wats56 0 #1 Posted June 18, 2011 Hi guys, I live in N.E. Wyoming and have been a lurker since Aug. 09. I became interested in WH because of a Ebay search on riding mowers . When I saw the first WH I fell in love with lines and ruggedness of them. After painstakingly searching everywhere I found that there wasnt many if any WH in this area. Then last year I found 1 ,15 miles away, not for sale. Then last Saturday an old friend said his dad had one and that I could have it. WELL LOOKIT ME GO NOW . Couldn't get right then and had to go S.D. to pickup my truck from the shop (02 Frtliner with a set of double Beall belly dumps)80 miles away. Well left 3 am. back by 8 am at his door by 8:30 am Sunday. Its a 68 Charger 12 no deck no foot board or belt cover, haven't had a chance to do anything to it, had to leave town to haul rocks. Hope to find the parts needed to restore the tractor ,sorry no pictures But happy to say there are at least 2 WH in Weston Co. Wyoming. Oh by the way the tag says #1-7231 serial # 472079

Don1977 605 #3 Posted June 18, 2011 Are you sure that's not a wild Wheel Horse out there. You may have to break it before it can be ridden. :hide:
boovuc 1,090 #4 Posted June 19, 2011 Congrates, Wats! I'm sure there are a few more Wheelhorses lurking in the barns and out buildings of Wyoming. For what you state are not enough in your area, I wish I had the open plains and the wild trout streams you have! Kind of evens the playing fields. I hope it serves you well! 546cowboy 302 #15 Posted July 22, 2011 It's even got the big horse hood ornament. If there was a cowboy on there it would look like your plate on the truck. I have relatives in Cheyenne and when I go out there I am always on the lookout but haven't ever seen one yet.

Dockfishin 51 #21 Posted July 23, 2011 Just send Kelly a message he's in one of the posts above, chances are he'll have most if not all you need. nobody better to deal with and he can point you in the right directions on all of it.
flyovrcntry 115 #22 Posted July 23, 2011 I live in S Illinois and horses are not real plentiful here either, but we do have some. I have only seen one round hood other than in pictures. I believe that is why some of us get a little testy about parting them out,it's just because we see so few nice ones.Good luck with the rebuild,it will last more than a lifetime.
