jcb857 161 #1 Posted June 16, 2011 I have been posting this in the engine section but I think I should be in this section. I want to replace my voltage regulator on my 857. The one that is on there now ha four terminals. I think that is the correct one but the one in the owners manual only shows three terminals. I went to napa and I looked threw there book and saw lots of regulators but was not sure what one was correct. The only number I have is 1413 and that hasn't helped me out. I know that I need a 12 volt regulator but don't want to order the wrong one. Does anyone have a part # that I could use and is the four terminal regulator correct the letters are, looking at the regulator from the seat of the tractor L, b, f, and the one on the back side has no letter but hooks up to "a" terminal on starter/gen. TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #2 Posted June 16, 2011 The manual only shows the three terminals/wires because the fourth wire was installed by the engine manufacturer and wasn't technically part of the tractor harness. The OEM part number for the original Kohler voltage regulator is 275746.
