tbbahner 28 #1 Posted June 15, 2011 I couldn't get any info on adjusting the detent on my GT14 lift valve to hold the lever in the "FLOAT" position, so I figured I'd post some info on it for any new Gt14 owners. The manual references turning a "socket head ball spring screw" to adjust it. This screw is about impossible to see on the tractor since its located behind the bottom hoses on the lift vavle. Pic below. I took the lift assembly off another GT14 and took a pic of the lift valve. You will see the hidden allen head screw(ball spring screw) at the bottom of the valve. I was able to adjust it on the tractor by removing the pin holding the front lift cylinder ram and unbolting the lift valve from the frame. Removing the pin gave me enough slop on the hoses to get to the allen screw on the valve. It doesn't take much of a turn clockwise to tighten it up There's probably and easier way, but this is how I got to it. Tom B
