krazy_horse 59 #1 Posted June 9, 2011 Hey Guys, What is the cut off date for using the early and late style chrome hub caps? Thanks, Jim :hide:
kpinnc 11,031 #2 Posted June 9, 2011 Not sure if there was a set date for the different types, but I know my 1971 Bronco 14 came with the older ones (chrome with painted emblems in the center), as did many tractors around the same (pre-1973) time frame. Even so, I've seen 1960 and older models with the "all-chrome", "wheel horse"-embossed newer caps on them as well. In short, it's up to you. But 1973 and older typically used the chrome caps with painted emblems in the center. Lawn Rangers may be an exception... As is true with almost every Wheel Horse rule. :hide:
Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted June 9, 2011 i'm going to say some time in the late 70's they stoped using the red hed caps, and started the ones with the words on them, but like kevin said they didn't have a set cut off time.
