squonk 43,793 #1 Posted June 4, 2011 My wife spotted this along a side of the road. No sign on it. In had to go and take a look. It's a fairly nice C-160 with some contraption sitting on the front. The contraption has a Wheel Horse decal on it. I can't for the life of me figure out what it was/is. No one was around to see if it was for sale. I took a crappy picture with my phone. Cody 277 #2 Posted June 4, 2011 It looks to possibly be a front mount deck bracket. It puts the deck in front of the tractor instead of the middle.
squonk 43,793 #3 Posted June 4, 2011 Makes sense. Kind of funny just sitting in a front yard with no sign on it. They are certainly not mowing with it. I'll keep my eye on it as I can use another C-160 Auto for parts if nothing else. My 160 is still in the shop. I might stop by and put a note on it.
Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted June 4, 2011 I'd be knocking on the door not watching it disappear, then you hear someone say I got a killer deal on a old WH setting in a yard.
Cody 277 #5 Posted June 4, 2011 I have to agree with Kelly, it never hurts to knock on the door.
squonk 43,793 #6 Posted June 4, 2011 It's about 20 miles away in a direction I don't go very often. I'll bring a couple of notes. Knock on the door and if no one is there I'll leave a note in the mail box and one on the tractor.
Kelly 1,033 #7 Posted June 4, 2011 Tip, leave the notes in zip lock sandwich bags so they don't get wet if it rains, I'd leave one on the house door also, persistence pays off sometimes.
