stevasaurus 23,296 #1 Posted June 3, 2011 It's true, finally bought my first Wheel Horse. I inherited my first four, and I won one at last years show. Well, my good buddy (IndyWH) found this horse on CL and sent me an e-mail. It was in my home town, about 8 blocks from me, so I had to go look at it. Real nice guy I purchased it from also. I know it is not fully original, and the PO did a few modification and a very nice restoration. I'll be bringing this to the shows this year. Take a look...thanks

Woodsman 3 #3 Posted June 3, 2011 That's a real beauty! It almost looks like it's posing for the camera with that great stance.
boovuc 1,090 #4 Posted June 3, 2011 Hi Steve, That is nice. I will comment on the dash of the "502". Why does that center "object" on the dash look like a bath tub shower overflow with tub to showerhead "thingy"????? Isn't there suppose to be an ammeter in that location? Maybe I need to upgrade my PC monitor. It's only a 20" widescreen. Or maybe I'm the one that needs an optical upgrade! BooVuc Mill Hall, PA
Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted June 3, 2011 Nice tractor Steve. And the 502 did not have a charging system, it was a pull start only, no batt. at all, the hole was filled with a plug and a kill switch, this one does not look orig. but same basic idea.
joebob 45 #6 Posted June 3, 2011 Nice Steve, but this mean that I can come and get the old 502 :hide:
stevasaurus 23,296 #7 Posted June 3, 2011 You know what Kelly...I think if you read my post, you would see that I said it was not original, but it looks like you needed another post to count. The original horse was a 502...what else would I call it. I also have another 502...so I know what is original or not. And I was thinking of coming to the Charlott show this year...now I wonder. :WRS:

JimD 3,347 #12 Posted June 4, 2011 Steve, that's a dandy little 502, anyone would be proud to own it. I know it will get the care it deserves. I particularly like the way the seat looks on it, and the other little mods just seem to fit. Ya did good buddy! :hide:

boovuc 1,090 #23 Posted June 4, 2011 Please don't take offense to my post. I know Steve said it wasn't original and if anyone knows me and has seen my pile of horse metal, not one of them is original. They are un-restored and are workers. I commented on the center dash "object" in the picture. I really wanted to know what it is as I've never seen anything like that. It really does remind me of the doo-hicky I throw to change my water in the tub from the spout to the shower head. That tractor is beautiful. Once again, I think words written verses spoken words that show the true emotion of the person are taken out of context. You can't "read" inflection. It's something that needs to be heard. Going back to what I wrote early in the post...........didn't these tractors come with an ammeter centered on the dash? BooVuc Mill Hall, PA
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #24 Posted June 4, 2011 Going back to what I wrote early in the post...........didn't these tractors come with an ammeter centered on the dash? The 1962 502 & 1963 633 models were mag ignition / pull start and had no charging system or ammeter. This is an original hole plug with kill switch on my 502: @Steve: nice tractor! :hide:
whfan74 2,072 #25 Posted June 4, 2011 That is a beauty Steve! Wow what a ride...........having that many Horses and haven't paid for one yet until now. You are doing good my friend! Can't wait to see it this fall!
