fourwheels0 191 #9 Posted June 1, 2011 it looks like an Original WH seat with a different backrest on it? i have no idea if it's original or not. i do know it's not very comfortable. the bottom has no cusion to it at all. if i can find a better seat i'll swap it out. i found out it's a 1968 model. the key switch will start it but it won't shut it off. i have to choke it to shut it off. is the switch bad?. is there a certain switch i need to replace it?. Cody 277 #10 Posted June 1, 2011 Sounds to me like when they added the new engine they didnt re-wire it for the magneto ignition. You can run a kill wire from i believe its the white wire coming out of the engine to the plug that has three terminals. From that white wire run it to a toggle switch and the other terminal of the switch to ground.
skeggordon 0 #11 Posted June 2, 2011 Hi fourwheels0, Looks like a fun tractor. Have a Magnum 10 in my 310-8, it starts right up and runs good even though its over 20 years old. You can look at the electrical diagram for a 312-8 to see how the ignition switch is wired. Yours, Jay Gordon
