TT

Some of it looks familiar - like the pulley. I know it was used on the RT-367 tiller, but on a different bracket that mounted near the back of the frame.

That mounting plate is drilled with the same pattern for the mid-hitch and would place the pulley directly under the PTO pulley on the engine, but I still can't place what attachment it would have been used to power. :hide:

Could it have been used as a reduction gear to change pulley speeds for use with maybe a hay elevator or other farm related stationary Item that just used a engine driven pulley. If memory serves we just had a 6 horse on the hay elevator when I was a kid to put hay in the barn loft.

TT is correct because the bolt holes do line up with the mid hitch. This has me stumped also, i have looked through every book i have and not been able to come up with a picture of it or anything close.

Could it possibly be some sort of old style tiller pulleys for tractors before 1973? On one end of the flat bar a idler pulley would be mounted and the other end for a spring to tension the belt. :hide:

Can't quite read them from my house :hide: , but that outer pulley seems to have a couple of numbers stamped into the surface, maybe those would give somebody a clue?

Wow very interesting, that sounds like the pulley i have. Does anyone have a manual for the 7-1211 tiller. Perhaps the manual would have a picture of the pulley setup.

Your pulley set up is not used on the 7-1211 tiller set-up. It used the same mid mount idler set up that most all other tillers use but also had a jack shaft that mounted to the transmission mount plate on the frame. It used a dual belt set-up, an extra belt guard and a rear hitch that was exclusivly used for that model tiller. I have that model tiller but not the jack shaft or the belt guard. There is a member here that does have the complete set up that lives close to us but I'm not sure if it's for sale (Ron?). I'd be interested in that pulley and mount if you want part with it! P/M me!

Yes i have that older model tiller also but am missing the idler pulley and jackshaft assembly. So we can scratch off the possibility of it being used on that tiller. Does anyone have an idea on what this pulley assembly is used for??? 520HC nice setup :hide:
