I do need to get those parts that are painted silver back to red some day, that is the way that I bought from a guy in Ohio who didn't know any thing about :hide: tractors. I think he did a real good job fixing it up for not knowing how it should be. The hood has some dents in it and I plan on fixing that this and painting all the silver parts this next winter.

Looks great, nothing like a new set of tires!

Sizing should be 4 / 8 for the front and 6 / 12 for the rear.

There is something about Ag's and ribs that bring out the best in a round hood. :hide: Looks great.

Well I got the original mower deck all painted and back on the 400, decided to cut some grass over to n1defan's this evening. :WRS: Worked pretty good for 1960's tech. and I bet back then if you had one of these little tractors to cut grass, you were the Jones of the block. I really enjoyed cutting grass on that little 400 and only used about 1/3rd of a gallon for hour of mowing. this may be go green machine. (not jd) didn't get any pics as I forgot my camera at work :hide: will post some new ones fri.

I love the look of those tires and wonder how they do in the snow. Are they comperable to turf tires with chains, or do you stil need chains on them?
