bonedaddy 0 #1 Posted May 12, 2011 I just picked up a b-80 that was not running. I tinkered with it for a couple days and finally got it to run. I put on the deck that came with it (no numbers on it) and the belt that came with is too long. The mule drive rubs the hood when tightening it. The belt that it came with is a Napa 4l960w which is 96" long. Everywhere I look it calls for belts that are 96-97". Anyone know of a reason I need a shorter belt and which one to get? TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #2 Posted May 12, 2011 If it's a B-80 4 speed, the frame is 2" shorter at the very front - which means the mower drive belt also has to be shorter. I just replied to a similar question a few days ago and the correct belt is P/N 102607 and is only 89" long. (1/2" wide)
bonedaddy 0 #3 Posted May 12, 2011 It has 3 forward gears.
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #4 Posted May 12, 2011 It has 3 forward gears. That would make it a B-80 4 speed ( counted reverse as a "speed")
