Confused99 2 #1 Posted May 27, 2008 Hello All, Well, I bought a new utility trailer (for the horse) and the first time I went to load it on I was taking it easy at the top of the ramp to see if it was going to bottom out and it looked like it was going to be ok so I went up and something caught pretty hard. I think it was the ends of the spindles as the nuts had some fresh scrapes. After this, I noticed that the deck no longer came up all the way when I would lift it. The rubber strips used to be pressed firmly against the bottom of the foot well and now it just comes short of touching. Also, the middle blade was draging on one tip but not the other on the baffles (I think that is what they are). I checked the blade and it does not appear to bent. I am guessing I am not the first person to have this happen so I am hopping someone can help me out. Thanks in advance, Jason
nylyon-(Admin) 7,882 #2 Posted May 27, 2008 For the deck to not go up all the way you would have either had to have bent something or the lift rod just needs to be adjusted. Check to see if you bent anything and adjust it out. Doesn't sound that bad to me.
Confused99 2 #3 Posted May 27, 2008 I will take another look but I am pretty sure there is no bent linkage. I am going to take it off again in the next couple days. As for the blade hitting, I am starting to think that the deck may be bent where the spindle mounts. Can this happen this easily? Thanks for the reply, Jason
WheelHorse_of_course 99 #4 Posted May 27, 2008 Not EASILY, but getting hung up like you did MAY have done so. If so, remove the spindle and a little work with a sledge hammer should help!
