KyBlue 655 #1 Posted May 26, 2008 Since Toro has let me down for the manuals, I'll post the couple ?'s that I have here for all the great WH minds to answer! I need to change the Rear End Lube on my B80, what should it get refilled with, and how much? Also where is the drain plug? And you refill thru the dipstick hole right? Finally, Since the Lube in the axle looks like total :wtf: and the overall condition of the deck, and the rest of the tractor, Im going to say that it REALLY needs greased. Where are the grease Points? I figure that'll do it for now ..
catman81056 3 #2 Posted May 26, 2008 If I can do this right, try here. http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/8EA7SEAJy4lK5...0Capacities.pdf The drain plug should be towards the rear left side of the trany and possibly next to the hitch. Try here also. http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/AE87SFQU-8XUV...0C%20Models.pdf

linen beige 15 #7 Posted May 27, 2008 I need to change the Rear End Lube on my B80, what should it get refilled with, and how much? Also where is the drain plug? And you refill thru the dipstick hole right? Scott, My lube recomendations and usage chart shows 2 qt.s of SAE 90-140 A.P.I. service GL-5 gear lube, with no service inteval recomendations. I think someone else has you covered on the drain plug location. If the lube that's in it really looks BAD, I'd flush it out REALLY well before I used it much. Or better yet, open it up, wash it out, and replace any seals, etc. it might need.

KyBlue 655 #9 Posted May 28, 2008 Yeah Tim, Id love to have a copy ... Thanks! Thanks Jim, it'll get changed now, and run for a bit, and then changed again after a couple weeks use.
CasualObserver 3,411 #10 Posted May 28, 2008 Scott...just a suggestion here... go back and take out your email address and then PM it to Tim.... you don't want to post things like that out in the searchable board text. (even in that form) The forums are prime pickings for spy/spambots.
