HH60-105013A vs HH60-105013B

I have a model 657 with a Tecumseh engine, is this the original engine?

HH60-105013A

614505079

All the specs I have found list the engine as HH60-105013B, what is the difference?

Thanks,

That is the original engine for a 656, So your 657 may have a leftover engine but original to it from 66. As far as differences I think its just year of make, But it could be a difference in carbs used on the two otherwise Identical engines

That makes sense, I believe I read somewhere that they often used left over parts on next years model. Also I see now the date code on the engine is 6 instead of 7, off to find some parts!

:) According to Tractor Data. 657 should have HH60. The 6 being a 6HP, 5 electric start and 7, 1967 year. :flags-usa:
