Desperate measures

Forest Road

Well it was officially time to take the blower off the 314 this past weekend. I needed to clean out the garage a bit first. After moving her outside and making space I was met w/ a disappointing blow. The drive belt snapped. Pushing the machine around wouldn't have been to bad. Except for the snow blower. I wasn't in the mood for wrestling that thing into the garage. A few hours later I came up w/ a solution.

A few hours later I came up w/ a solution. 3/8" rope braided together!!! It worked well enough to get the front tires into the garage and drop the blower. Once the rear tires hit the raised floor my new belt gave its final breath and snapped.

Thanks Steve

It was purchased from my friends shop new. The owner passed and his wife asked my friend to "get rid" of it for her. Its a 1994 w/ 195 hours and a lot of wax residue.
