kloe0699 12 #1 Posted May 2, 2011 I had the C-175 out today for a hydro fluid/filter change and adjusted the linkages. I noticed the fitting on the hose to the lift cylinder (106420) is leaking, and it's no longer available. Does anyone know of a replacement for that or if Napa would have that fitting? I just put new plugs/wires and cleaned the points up last week. Now the hydro is much better so today is the first time I have really tried it out since I have owned it... That thing is a beast!! c175inMA 8 #2 Posted May 2, 2011 I have a C175 and i have the same problem. Is it leaking where the hose connects to the cylinder or out of the part that allows the end to rotate without the whole hose? If it is where it connects to the cylinder it may be just a O-ring which are still available through toro. The whole hose Assembly is also available but it costs something like $60
kloe0699 12 #3 Posted May 2, 2011 I was hoping it was the O-ring but I cleaned it up and it's leaking out of the swivel part of the fitting. I wouldn't mind the $60 for a new one at $3.25/quart It came up as discontinued when I looked it up?? Thanks, Kevin

c175inMA 8 #5 Posted May 2, 2011 That link didn't work try this one and type in your model number. If you don't know it then use 11-17KE01. On the second page there's hydraulic system click on it and the hose is either 18 or 19 depending on which one you need https://www.shoptoro.com/Comergent/en/US/ad...lineModelLookup

shorts 182 #12 Posted May 4, 2011 your local full service auto parts or hydraulic shop should be able to make a new hose, or you can order hose and replaceable ends from an industrial supply house like graingers, fastenal, mcmaster carr, northern supply, msc etc. and make your own hose to fit. 97roadking 0 #13 Posted May 4, 2011 I went to my local, lawn mower shop, he could get the 15" hose for my electro-12, but it was $98.00. So i went to NAPA,and john deere, they could not make it for me. So i looked on Ebay and found both short hoses for $9.00+$4.00 shipping. Of course they were used, but the one i needed didnt leak. Just a thought. Bob from Indiana
catman81056 3 #14 Posted May 4, 2011 I just made new hose's for my electro 12. I got the hose adapters from here; www.discounthydraulichose.com/ Look under steel fittings/adapters, sae straight thread(ORB). You'll need 4 straight adapters and 4 90deg adapters. I got all #5 ORB X JIC 37deg. 1/4". Some tractors use the #4ORB and some use the #5ORB. To tell the difference, use a 7/16" and 1/2" fine thread bolt. #4 is 7/16" and 1/2" is #5. Look under Hose and tubing for hose fittings. I used the crimp on Braided hose fittings, 1/4" JIC female swivel for 1/4" hose. All fittings cost me $43.50 shipped. I had $18.00 in the hose. I'm jusr lucky that where I work they have their own hydrolic hose machine. I just cut the hose to length and crimped the ends myself. Any fulltime hydrolic shop can make these hose's. Just take them your old hose. One word of warning, the female hose ends are longer than the OEM fittings. I would suggest screwing the fittings together(adapter to hose end), install on tractor, then cut the hose to connect them together. I had to extend the slot in the tool box on my Electro 12 to accept the hose, but it worked.
WH854 45 #15 Posted May 4, 2011 One of the members here sell hoses for Wheel Horse lifts and transmissions, here is his site. http://www.classickitchensandmore.com/whee...page=2&sort=20a Try him out Chas
Butch 194 #16 Posted May 4, 2011 I had all new hoses made for my C175 and ran into a problem. The hose that goes back by the oil filter has a 90 degree swivel fitting the hydraulic shop says they no longer make. Without that 90 the hose/fitting hits the tranny and will not go on. I ended up using a 45 degree fitting and using longer hose. It was tricky. Everything was a tight fit with the C-175 automatic. I asked Eldon about getting hoses from him but he never answered my message.
kloe0699 12 #17 Posted May 5, 2011 I took it apart the other day and found that of course they are both leaking. I took them to our local saw shop that makes up hoses and they didn't have that fitting. They called today and their supplier has fittings they think should work. Find out Friday. WH854 45 #18 Posted May 6, 2011 Some of these hoses can be bought from Toro, they are for the later model lifts Here are some P/N 110124, is 99-5372, P/N 110125 is 99-5373, P/N 110096, P/N 110504 is 107-9295. Could you use these hoses on some of your lifts (possible the length may vary, maybe they could be rerouted) Just a thought if it happens to me thats what I may do Chas
kloe0699 12 #19 Posted May 7, 2011 I stopped over to the saw shop today and they came in. They are the right type of fittings but he ordered 1/4 and 3/8's.. Turns out they are 5/16's... Hopefully Tuesday they will be here and we can get them made up. I was wondering about the hoses for the later models also Chas. I don't know if they would be the same or if they changed something and then had to make different hoses???
kloe0699 12 #20 Posted June 5, 2011 I was hoping to find a good deal for everyone.. They got the fittings to make the longer hose 2 weeks ago and I have been waiting for the 1 swivel fittting on the shorter hose till yesterday. The salesman was going to bring it this week and they never got it. They know me and I have been waiting, they found a way to do it with what they had. The guys at the shop are good, their supplier sucks... It's back together now for $60.00 A small price to pay to get that horse back on it's hoolves :WRS:
