Butch 194 #1 Posted April 29, 2011 I read the manual of belys for the Toro Wheel Horses and it says to use a #7473 belt for the drive belt which I assume is the belt that goes from the PTO on to the mower deck. It was an 82" belt and is waaaaaaaay short. The 1983 C-85 has no automatic version so I assume the drive belt is the PTO belt. So how do I find the correct belt size without taking the old one off and cutting it to measure it? I figure cutting it would give more accurate of a measurement than trying to measure the curves. Am I reading the belt manual wrong? What belt do I need? Thanks. :D
Horse-Drawn 1 #2 Posted April 29, 2011 #7473 is a main drive belt on a manual 8hp. ...at least it is on mine. The deck drive is 97" #102741 on mine, might be yours too???
Horse-Drawn 1 #3 Posted April 29, 2011 If you have a 36" deck, that's the belt you need ...102741 42" deck uses #102742
Irv 115 #5 Posted April 29, 2011 If you go here https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro you can find your part #s. Just put your model # in and check the drawings.
