If you will note the serial number is on the low end of listings of the '500' SPECIAL models (48xxx to 5xxxx) and the number "6" is on the side decals of this tractor. This side decal has been part of the mystery as some tractors have the "6" and some don't, pictures found of the Wheel Horses at the race track from 1968 (and we are talking about the Charger models) also have this cross flag decal but this decal does not have the number "6" on it. I can only speculate that after the Charger models had decal installed for race duty the left over non number "6" decals got used on '500' SPECIALS. Bill in Richmond, Va.
