Electrical Question

Recommended Posts

I have a C111 that mice had gotten into and chewed the spark plug in half so when I removed the coil I took the flywheel off to check the alternator and found it too was damaged. The seller told me it ran fine when it was parked but it looks like it has been sitting a LONG time outside. I don't want to invest in an alternator until I hear it run. So, if I have a strong battery will the engine run without the alternator?

Yes.

The magneto ignition system makes it's own power.
