It is a reserve for the gas tank! The tractor already had the wholes in the hood and the tank, but I cannot find a cap for the resereve part of the tank, I am still looking because that is a pop bottle cap!

The decals that are on the tractor now are correct for 1961 - they're just back too far:

The decals that were on it are 1965/66 and are available from several sources - even Toro still had the replacement version (#83-3410) the last time I checked.

So the ones that I put on it are correct, Just a little customized! I figured they put them where ever they wanted as they were building them like they did some other things! Wish I could find a belt guard since this is my 3 yr old sons first tractor!
