Drive belt idle pulley spring 520H

Anyone replaced a drive belt idle pulley spring? Looking for some insights as to how to remove and replace the spring. I installed a new belt, but it is still loose, so I figure the spring is tired.

Needle-nose pliers and a 7/16" wrench? I don't think there is anything that isn't straight forward as far as the spring. Did you check to see if you put the correct belt on? Here is the parts breakdown from partstree.

#39 is a 1/4-20 nut
