P3x 57 #4 Posted April 20, 2011 You may want to check with your local Cummins/Onan dealer. I was looking for a muffler for my 520 after my wife told me from inside the house she thought the the tractor was loud - I wear hearing protectors. Thinking a new muffler would help, I checked price and availability with the dealers online and find they want $525.00 + for a new muffler - OUCH! I went to a Cummins/Onan dealer and they have the muffler for $221.00 or there abouts - 50% less than any Toro dealer I checked with. Seeing there are no holes in my current muffler and the gaskets are good I decided to it sounds fine to me as is. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
JMA 0 #5 Posted April 20, 2011 Thanks. Local Toro/ WheelHorse dealer also quoting $225, Toro is quoting $250 + shipping. My muffler pipe broke of old age right at the flange so am hesitant to run the tractor without a muffler due to danger of sparks igniting leaves, etc. Was hoping for a used part but I guess I will have to bight the bullet.
