id numbers 520h for the yr it was built

just bought a 520H with a 48" deck and a 20 hp onan. id # on tractor is 31200e01-16504, can any one tell me the year, the engine mod # is lx790/10955H, id# is joox219575, also what type of oil is used in hydro lift that goes in the rear near the oil filter. i have two other wheel horse a 1976 b-80 and 2000 314-8, this 520h is a differnt animal, thank you, bootlegger.

The Transaxle takes 30W Engine Oil.

I have a 1993 (Toro Model Number 73501) in the 3XXXXXXX SN range. I'm to WH 520s myself and compared the numbers you listed with what I have and they are not similar. Check that model number again and see if it isn't 31-20OE01 (that's an O for Onan)

That would make it a 520-H Garden Tractor, 1988

Uses 10W30 or 10W40 motor oil in the hydro.

Bootlegger, it is a 1988. Here is the Toro site that will lead you to the manuals, etc, for your model number:

Please note that in the model number, 31-20Oe01, the 20 is for hp and the 5th letter is an O for Onan. On the Toro site, the 5th letter has to be input as an O for Onan.
