Do you need to know what it looks like, how it is routed, how it attaches to the engine, or all of the above?

I have an 856 which is similar that I can take a couple of pictures, but it won't be until later tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe we can get Stevasaurus to take a couple pictures of his 857 cable for you.

the nut should be tight...so it does not slip on the protruding shaft. That is where your adjustment should be. :wh: I am really not sure how to do that yet. Hope someone else chimes in. I really have not been there yet. All I can say is the first picture shows the throttle closed, and the second open...I know there is more to it...just have not done it yet. :D

To tell you the truth, I hope some one comes in here and explains the process. There is a "Pinned" section on Kohlers floating around here. The information is in that. Check the pinned stuff in the tractors section.

If you're talking about the brass bushing nut that's screwed into the engine block, it gets torqued @ 70-90 INCH lbs.

If the control disc binds when the brass nut is tightened, check the cable housing bracket and make sure it isn't bent outward against the back side of the control disc.
