Lane Ranger 10,597 #3 Posted April 5, 2011 I think you could have bought two of John Brrly's new ones for that price! Oh the need to have an original though!
Shuboxlover 474 #4 Posted April 5, 2011 I was watching that closely, especially when i saw it was up to like 400 something with days to go!!! Wish I had a dozen of those guys laying around

rmaynard 14,985 #7 Posted April 5, 2011 If I bought something like that, and at that price, my wife would be using it as a real tombstone for the late B100-BOB.
n1defan 47 #8 Posted April 5, 2011 I bid on it the first day, but quit at 100.00. I really think someone bumped there head on that one. But that is just my opinion.
Kelly 1,028 #9 Posted April 5, 2011 Made me think about selling mine, I watch ebay and the prices all the time, you never know what some people will pay.
Raider12 13 #10 Posted April 5, 2011 I to ahve seen auctions like this one go crazy and end up at some silly price for an item. Im won't rag on someone for paying this price, to each his own. But I think they could have done better if they would have been patient. You may see others listed now and you watch, they will sell for a fraction of the price. Brrly1 1,146 #11 Posted April 5, 2011 Nope, but don't doubt it for a second, I sure tried. It got over $450 and I said "Oh Well" :wh:

VinsRJ 721 #13 Posted April 6, 2011 I'll admit I watched that one..... I guess you can say the seller was: Winning!
puddlejumper 67 #14 Posted April 6, 2011 It was mentioned earlier that if another showed up it would/could sell for a fraction of that. It took 2 to get it that high one of them is still out there. If a guy had one he was willing to part with he could ebay it and have a buy bidder Jack the price up. If he over does it he would just lose ebay fees and get to keep his weight. Or Burly needs to throw a couple outside for a few years. Did I say that. Anmd I always considered myself a honest individual.
refracman 166 #15 Posted April 6, 2011 I have to admit Ive payed stupid $$$$$$$ for something before, BUT that was so I could duplicate and make more to sell. With that being said and with quality knock offs out there for a fraction of that cost Ya just gotta ask yourself WHY? reminds of a PT Barnum sayin
Ken B 3,116 #16 Posted April 6, 2011 If someone here bought it I doubt they would admit to it....
Shuboxlover 474 #17 Posted April 6, 2011 I was selling some vintage car parts one time and the item I was selling brought CRAZY!!!!! money. 3 to 4 times of what it should have brought. I sent an invoice after the auction was over and NEVER heard from the guy (or gal) again. Filed a non-bidding complaint, relisted it, and it brought the money it SHOULD have brought the second time around. Just because it sold for that, doesn't mean the seller is gonna get paid d. mr.pipes 4 #23 Posted April 6, 2011 I think you could have bought two of John Brrly's new ones for that price! You could have bought two and a tractor to put them on. For a few more bucks you could have bought four aluminum ones. That would be sweet, a couple on the tractors, one on the garage wall, one on the bedroom wall. You could decorate the yard for Halloween.
