TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 19, 2008 Tom, the HL-5 or HL-6 headlight kit is what was available for your 857 "back in the day". http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1301 (the HL-6 was a single larger light that fastened to the hood in the hood ornament location.) These are both nearly impossible to find, and expensive when you do. You also have the option of cutting the hole and installing the "recessed" headlight assembly with the plastic lens. (Or find a correct-length hood that already has the hole - or headlights) These light units use two 1156 bulbs and are no problem for the generator. (These were actually used starting with the 1967 six-speed tractors.) A pair of the "typical" 35 watt utility lights can also be used. You can make a bracket similar to the HL-5 piece so you don't have to drill holes in the hood. Power for the headlights can be "pulled" directly from the terminal on the left side of the voltage regulator. (closest to the S/G belt)
