Here are some pics as found then some after I cleaned her up a bit. She too is wearing her original clothes and I will NEVER change that. Great job on the hood The only thing I did was put the motor recoil back on and tune it up. Paint wise I painted steering wheel then wiped most of the paint back off to give it that aged look, painted the wheels and tire painted the tires. I also got the smiley face off the front. rj35hunter 283 #37 Posted March 23, 2011 What a nice find.....those are getting harder to find in that condition! We need more complete original RJ's in our collections like that one. I have two original 56's and an early 57 with that same engine #'s, so I believe yours is for sure a mid 56 model. I also believe that is the original engine to the tractor due to all of the variations on the tractor. It also has the rolled sheet metal frame instead of the channel iron frame used in all 55, some 56, and all 57. Far as I have found, only 56 models have the rolled sheet metal frame. They are not as strong as the channel iron frames, but are more rare to find. I vote leave it exactly as is including the dirt and grime ....but fix all of the problems and get it running and functionable......just my 2 cents.
