Homemade Tiller Lift Cable

Recommended Posts

RyanM84

Just made my tiller lift cable and saved myself a bunch of cash. I got the cable off my dad he had some laying around the one end has a metal loop so Im using that end to hookup at the lift handle and im attaching it with a bolt two washers and a nut and the other end i just looped it and installed the cable clamp and Im going to use a anchor shackle to attach it to the rockshaft/lift lever at the back of the tractor. Cable Free Misc parts $10

You may want to add another cable clamp.

TT

......and add a thimble.

By the way - you have the clamp on backwards. (seriously)

Edit:

Good reading from the RedSquare closet:

Cable clamp orientation isn't as critical in this situation, but it's good practice to always install them correctly - in case it really does matter.

Good eye TT. I should have caught that myself. As the old timers say, "Never saddle a dead horse".
