condenser hook up

Hi RS members,I have a question about the wire on the condenser?I have a b-100 and the wire on condenser goes to the neg side of the coil.I just purchased a c-81 and the wire from the coil is on the pos side.Both tractors have Kohler k motors.Thanks for your help :thumbs:

Your C81 is wired wrong. the condensor goes on the neg. side

Let me rephrase that, the neg. soie of the coil should go to the points and the condensor should be on the point side. If your Pos. wire is on the neg side your coil is wired wrong

They will run wired backwards, but will run better wired the correct way as stated, points and cond. to the neg. side, incoming power to the pos. side, and the engine does not care what it is bolted to, could be a wood splitter still wire it the same.
