Shuboxlover 481 #1 Posted March 15, 2011 Both tractors are 520's....i was wondering how hard it will be to change from the motion control that's between my legs, to the motion control lever on the dash?
jtmoyer 1 #2 Posted March 15, 2011 it can be done. 1. get off the tractor 2. walk over to the other 520 3. get on that tractor. now the control lever is switched. you should just have to change all the linkage and steering column over.

Kelly 1,033 #7 Posted March 16, 2011 Not sure your question ever got answered, I've never done it, but I do love the dash controls over the cumbersome control mounted in front of the seat, in the console, and the hydro lift control on the dash is nice also, I have both styles, it will take some time to do the swap, and switching eveything from the console up, I know the wiring is differnt from the two tractors, not sure what you will get in to there?? I'm thinking of taking my old 520 with the console controls and turning it in to a 8 speed.

Shuboxlover 481 #9 Posted March 19, 2011 So is it just the safety switches (parking brake, motion control etc...) that are different? Is the wiring in the dash to the gauges and key switch the same? I mean, would I just have to run longer wires, or make some of the wires shorter for the safety switches to make it work?

Toejam 1 #11 Posted March 25, 2011 I would say .. take them both apart and look at what you getting into. If you think you cant handle it just put them back together....... Just a thought
