d180 3 point help!!!! need info

i am trying to install the 3 point system in my 180. i have a piece left that i thought to be a link that would go in between the lift arm and ram but can not understand it wont fit in between because there is no room and it hits the upper center brace. do i need this part or can i just directly put the ram to the upper lift arm bracket. i have it that way now with a pin to attatch to the ram . it seems to look like it will work. does anyone have any advice or photos? thanks scott

A picture would help someone out as to what part your talking about. There are a few in the three point on the D180's. Or even a description of what the part looks like or where you think it might go??

Do you have a owners manual? Could you look up the diagram on the section here on manuals? It might help.

Check out this parts list to see if you can identify which part is orphaned.... I'm suspecting part 5.
