Sparky-(Admin) 23,147 #2 Posted March 13, 2011 It was probably an allright machine for mowing your grass but thats it. As far as value goes, its not much as the collecting crowd wont be after a verticle shaft machine from the 80's. Mike..........

Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted March 14, 2011 Just to add, I pick up the tin vert shaft tractors now and then, mind you I don't look for them, I pay $25 tops but that is me, I do sell the engines out of most of them, I even gave a member here the left overs from one I parted out, my son uses a B-111 same basic tractor with old style tin on it, to sweep leaves and other chores. Ted Crawford 0 #6 Posted May 30, 2015 I bought an LT1100 5-speed in the early 1980s from Roger's Wheel Horse (dealer) in Portland Indiana. It still looks great and still is mowing. It has the best 42" mulching deck I have ever seen. The WORK HORSE series gave me (then a very young man with a new job and starting a family) the ability to a own a quality mower from the "Cadillac" of tractor manufacturers.(I still had to take a loan to buy it.) Now over 30 years later and several thousand hours of mowing, I decided to move to a zero turn because of some unique properties of another acre of land I have to mow ( The Zero-Turn in this case saves me an hour of mowing time). I don't have room to keep my Work Horse and am looking for a new home for it. I was hoping my son would want it but he has a postage stamp for a lawn. It will need new front wheel bearing's , clutch adjustment, and maybe someday I would think the engine will need some work...the only reason I say this is that I have never had to do anything but change oil and filters and sharpen blades. Well, I think I replaced 3 batteries. I will post some pictures.I am asking $275 I am in Muncie/Yorktown Indiana PH: 765-744-0441 Ted
