bigben 0 #1 Posted May 17, 2008 I need to sharpen the blades on my mower deck for the first time and am wondering how you guys do it. Should I take off the deck to remover the blades or just drive it onto my car ramps to remove them?
mailman 1 #2 Posted May 17, 2008 I take the deck off. I remove the deck so often that it can be done in less then 5 minutes. I think it would also be the safer thing to do. I hated removing it when I first got the tractor, and putting it on was worse. Now........piece of cake.
nylyon-(Admin) 7,882 #3 Posted May 17, 2008 Definitely remove the deck. While it is off, you can get the underside all cleaned up and lubed up.
bigben 0 #4 Posted May 18, 2008 Boy, I wish one of you lived close to me to show me how. The guy I bought it from tried to show me. I didn't want to look like a dummy, so I just kept saying o.k...o.k.
