early 60's model snowblower

Recommended Posts

I have one of those old single stage snowblowers with the round sides I think the model # starts with ST. I am questioning the current lift setup and think it has been changed or modified. It takes damn near everything I've got to lift the blower off the ground. The actual point of contact is on the blower frame and seems like it should be further out and under the actual snow blower. Does anyone have a pic or an exploded parts diagram?

Thanks!

ST-3072 manual @ mywheelhorse.com

The manual picture isn't very helpful, but I can look at my thrower this weekend - if I can get near it. (it's currently buried in the back of the shop)

I do know the old throwers lift much higher than the newer versions, and mine isn't very hard to lift.

looking at the manual, the tube is totally different than a newer one has. I have the 6-2211 32" and tube is a simple round stock with a piece welded on.

Doesn't lift nearly that high either....
