.5racer 14 #1 Posted May 15, 2008 Went to Mom's tonight after work to do a pretest so I wouldn't have any suprises ! Went to try all seven scafers at one time and after abot three feet , there was a noise comming from the rearend . My thoughts from the sound was the relief. Was at 7/8 throtle,1/3 on control speed and after backing off the control the noise stoped and continued as before ripping away ! Did it three times total tonight in a time frame of an hour . If it was the relief can it be adjusted or left alone. How would you check pressure rating with a gauge , Or am I just working her tooooo hard ?
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 15, 2008 Terry - if the noise sounded like you were trying to stuff a live bobcat in a meat grinder butt-first, it was probably the relief valve. I have a manual with the psi test procedure hiding here somewhere, but it's not for the D series tractors. I'll still see if I can find it, or hopefully one of the "D" guys will jump in with some instructions.
