rex iii 0 #1 Posted February 25, 2011 hello all i have a 702 that did not have a throttle cable so i bought one to put on it but i would like some pics or a diagram on how it hooks up to the carb. Any and all help would be appreciated this is my first wheel horse and so far have been very happy with the way it has plowed snow. I will add a picture of it as soon as i figure out how. thanks

TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #7 Posted February 28, 2011  The throttle cable attaches to the control disc behind the governor arm. (bottom left image): This is a picture of an 855, which is similar to a 702. A solid link connects the governor arm to the throttle shaft plate: Enough info?
rex iii 0 #8 Posted March 8, 2011 Thanks for the info that is how i hooked it up. Have another question why do i need to run with the choke half on? I rebulit the carb, changed the head gasket. Also after it warms up it wants to die on me, although if i mess with the choke it will stay running. Thanks
stevasaurus 22,273 #9 Posted March 8, 2011 I would say that you are sucking some air somewhere if you have to have the choke out at all to make it run. Spray some carb cleaner around the carb at different places while it is running. If the engine speed changes, there is your problem...also check the screws to make sure they are adjusted correctly.
