halbert 0 #1 Posted February 22, 2011 Does anybody know someone in Western Virginia who does reliable Onan engine work? I live near Roanoke (Rocky Mount), have a 16HP, BF-MS/2929E in a 1977, D160 that has a pretty bad compression imbalance and am concerned about the possibility of a catrostropic crankshaft failure. I can do part of the work, like getting the engine out of the tractor and ready to be worked on, but have neither the experience nor the equipment to do a proper job. Any help will be appreciated. 300zx 7 #2 Posted February 22, 2011 Henry, there is a local shop in Lynchburg that is a Onan distributor and I think also does the local JD dealer's small engine work. I have had engines bored and valves ground there. I also have hear that there is a good shop in Waynesboro, VA, that is one of the few left that can do a good job grinding crankshafts.
