I think it was cut for more air, you know bigger nostrils, more air when running! Thanks guy's, this is the newest WH I own that is a C series. Don't forget to swap the hoods prior to launching the non-keeper I have another hood, so no matter on the swap....but would not want to ruin it for the next owner of the other...lol They both will be cleaned up, then I got to work on the other one, safety switch bad somewhere. The Green and yellow is a customers Yardman(Fixed it already) and the other is my brothers Cub Cadet,(blah....literally a POS!) It has already eaten a drive belt and wore the drive pulley, it is still under warrenty so I can't touch it, niot that I would lol! I try to keep them apart, but runnimg out of room! Yeah scott, I was lucky, I called right after he posted it on CL, then everyone started calling! and he was out in the boondocks! The owner is a farmer who was fanatical about maint, so they are in pretty good shape, funny thing was, he was getting rid of these to buy a premium mower? Go figure that one!
