What are SB...& SK.... Tractors

What does the SB & SK stand for. I saw pics of the decals for these wheel horse tractors but have never heard of them.

1982 C-series garden tractor...SB-421, 8-speed Briggs

1982 C-series garden tractor...SK-486, 8-speed Kohler

this thread answered alot of questions I had about the sb sk models.

Now I was told by someone that the Commando tractors of the early 70s were built for the same purpose as the sk sb tractors. They were lower end tractors but were still wheel horse.
