handyman 1 #1 Posted February 9, 2011 I am considering a 520 that may need a replacement engine. I have seen that Small Engine Warehouse uses 23HP Kohler and a 22HP Honda I believe. I have found a relatively good deal on a 25HP Kohler Command twin. Are the 23 and 25's the same engine externally? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mr.pipes 4 #2 Posted February 9, 2011 Kohler 23 & 25 are not the same externally. The 25 hp has a heavy duty air cleaner which makes it over two feet tall. The 23 hp is only 19" tall. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
