C.M.C-175 0 #1 Posted February 7, 2011 Is there a good way to go about doing a transmission flush before you put in new oil and filter for your tranny? I'm thinking that it would be wise to do to get the little particles of whatever out of there before adding clean fluids. I'm specifically talking about a Sundstrand Hydro. HorseFixer 2,013 #2 Posted February 7, 2011 Craig a good way to flush your tranny would to be to use a good full synthetic oil that is designed for your tractor. Synthetics are highly detergent and it will clean the transmission and loosen up any kind of particles that are in there. This will take some time of course but you may want to change oil and filter like at 10 hrs 30, 60, 100, 160. after that once a year. There is a brand of oil on the Tip of my Tounge if I could only remember it I think it begins with an "A". If you insist on useing a solvent it should be oil based I would not run it long at all and change yer Oil and filter a couple times before actually using yer tractor. Good Luck ~Duke
