92Pony 1 #1 Posted May 12, 2008 I bought my 520H about 6mos ago from my previous landlord. I've had so many projects with the new house, that I finally had a chance to change the oil in the WH last Friday. The PO had supplied an extra filter that he had on hand. I looked in the owner's manual that came with the horse, and it said that an oil change w/filter should take 3qts. Well, I dumped in 2qts, and let the tractor down onto level ground (had the right side tipped up, and the front end tipped up for max drainage of the old oil). Having added 2qts, the dipstick was showing a shade above full! I started it and ran it for a minute and checked again - same reading; a hair over full. I went ahead and did some tilling with it, and the oil pressure light never came on, and it seemed to run well. Should I trust the dipstick? kj4kicks 154 #2 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Wade, I think you may have gotten the 3 qt thing from the hydro rear section. 2 quarts is about right for the engine. Also, make sure there is a rubber gasket around the outside of the oil filter, that seals it to the blower housing. If it's not there, it really messes up the air flow for engine cooling.
