TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted February 3, 2011 :banghead: Is the B-100 an automatic or an 8 speed?
wheel horse tractor guy 0 #3 Posted February 3, 2011 it is an 8 speed not an automatic. i have a c-81 with wheel weights chains plow and mowerdeck for the bubble some guy got his name on a will and he wanted it out of the garage cuase the house was going up for auction.that one has the 8 speed tranny and i love it.i recently bought a b-80 in a barn up in the attic mint condition with mowerdeck i paid $400 for that one. i also have 800 3 speed motor is tecumseh 8 solid state ignition with 36" rear discharge mowerdeck to be restored $100 what do you guy think of my collection so far i want to put pictures of them on this forum but i haven't figured out how to do that just yet
rmaynard 16,341 #4 Posted February 3, 2011 You didn't say what year it was, but looking at my signature and avatar, you will see that I am a big fan of the B-100. Mine are 1976 and 1977 models, all 8-Speeds. They are the simplest tractor to repair and most parts can be interchanged between the B-80, B-100, C-120 and C-160. I'd say go for it. :banghead:
wheel horse tractor guy 0 #5 Posted February 3, 2011 I got a b-100 with a side discharge mowerdeck i bought about two weeks ago unrunning i got screwed $400. motor smokes bad just waiting on buying another motorfor it. Now i got the chance to get another one as a trade i hope this one will be better then the one i got two weeks ago. Does the b-80 hood fit on a b-100 cause the b-100 i got the hood is ruined by the other guy i have a real nice b-80 hood hope it fits.
rmaynard 16,341 #6 Posted February 3, 2011 I need to know the model ID's from the tag on the left side of the hood stand. Different years, different hoods.
